REPORT ON PLASTIC AWARENESS PROGRAM

St. Joseph’s Convent School organized an awareness program on March 9,2023 which had a theme “Say no to plastic” in which Mrs. Shobana Chandrasekhar who is an activist and CEO of an organization called MOB( Make Ooty Beautiful) was our special invitee.
The objective of the program was to create awareness about the hazard of polythene bags. The campaign was named ‘Say no to plastic bag’.

The students were also educated that polythene was not biodegradable and that these bags could choke the sewers. They could also spoil the fertility of the soil.

A presentation was given to the students on ‘Make Ooty Beautiful’ that portrayed the pictures of past and present Ooty.
This had a deep impact on the students and the teachers after the session. Our students took an oath to keep their surroundings clean.
