RED DAY

St.Joseph’s Convent School had Red Day celebration on 29th July 2022 with wonderful learning activities that helped children to sort out and classify objects based on color reinforcing cognitive skills. It was a scintillating day with innocent faces gleaming and reflecting brightness joy love and happiness.

Activities like, Thumb painting Show and tell Were conducted and the students gave their active participation to make the day more lively.

BLUE DAY

The colour ‘Blue’ that portrays calmness of sky and coolness of water was introduced in an interactive way on 26th August, 2022.To make the activity more inclusive children brought different objects like toys, decorative things and drawings based on the theme .A peacock was drawn and the children made their hand impression on it to create its feathers.

GREEN DAY

Blue Day was celebrated on 28th October, 2022 with the kiddies of St Joseph’s Primary section. Green being the colour of life, nature and energy had contributed to the growth of our children too. The children and teachers came dressed in different shades of green. To fortify the concept of the colour, the children were engaged in cleaning the campus and visiting the school garden. As a part of the event the children were asked to bring seeds to be sowed in our campus to initiate the concept “Protecting Trees”

YELLOW DAY

A day dedicated to the colour yellow was celebrated on 24th February,2022 which was remarkable with children in different hues and tints of yellow was Children were not only beautifully dressed but also brought objects depicting yellow colour. A room was given to display the object brought by them and the children were asked to name the objects and its use.

BLACK AND WHITE DAY

Black and White that illustrates peace and ages of life was celebrated on 27th January, 2022 by the Primary children and teachers of SJC. Children had various creative games organized by the teachers like:

Tug of War

Collecting balls

River and bridge

Children watched a video that narrated a story with various morals.

TOYS DAY

Toys play an important role in the lives of all kids that has made him or her feel the significance of being a child. A favorite toy is always irreplaceable. It’s not the price or the brand of the toy but the emotional bind that a child has with it. The theme of the day was to nurture their creativity and imagination by giving them opportunities to play with toys that will make their childhood unforgettable and joyful.

TASTE BUDS DAY AND CELEBRATION OF LIGHTS AND SWEETS

‘The perfect dessert is like music that makes my taste buds dance’.The food that is shared and the light that is lit makes life perfect and peaceful”

Taste Buds Day was celebrated on 11th November, 2022 along with the festival of lights and sweets that involved our kids in activities like displaying food items brought by them and finding its taste.

Children were able to learn the vales of sharing and the importance of lighting one’s life with love and care. This also helped them to gain some knowledge about the five senses of taste.

WEIRD HAIR DAY

Crazy hair day was conducted on 3rd March, 2023 that involved all the students from primary section .The kids came in different weird hair styles that made the spectators go cranky. Teachers were also a part of this crazy event. A video on crazy hair style was played for the children. The teachers and students had a photo session with the sisters of SJC.

It was a memorable day for all the students for sure.

MASK DAY

The Fauna Day was celebrated on 10th February, 2022, that displayed the theme “Fauna”. The purpose was to raise awareness among the people on Wildlife and Environment. The children wore masks of different animals to bring out the importance of animal conservation. They also enacted like their favorite animals.

FRUITS DAY

Fruits Day which was celebrated on 12th August, 2022 was an event to create a clear knowledge about the importance of consuming fruits in our diet to lead a healthy life. On this day the kinder kids brought different fruits from their houses the fruits were made into a salad and was given o be tasted to the children. This day gives us a theme on ‘Sharing is Caring”.
